On September 13, 2025, Vatican City hosted a landmark event called “Grace for the World” in St. Peter’s Square. The show, co-directed by Andrea Bocelli and Pharrell Williams, marked the first public concert held in St. Peter’s Square in some 2,000 years. The audience of over 80,000 people was treated to performances by global stars including Bocelli, Pharrell, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Karol G, Jelly Roll, the Voices of Fire gospel choir, and others. After the music, a spectacular drone show lit up the sky, recreating iconic artworks such as Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, images of the Virgin Mary, and even a portrayal of the late Pope Francis. The concert was the grand finale of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity 2025, aiming to bring people together across divides. The mix of tradition, faith, star power, and cutting-edge tech made it a powerful symbol of unity, hope, and shared humanity.
